Andrea Ehret, Slovak artist and art therapist, born in Eastern part of Slovakia, currently residing in Prague, Czech Republic. My paintings are my world, my dreams & visions… my circles. This lead me to search for my unique style followed the natural inclination towards abstract expressionism. I exhibit my art internationally, my paintings are already part of private collections all around the world.
My approach is strongly connected to my vision of life, I choose art as a tool for possible self-transformation. I strongly believe art has the ability to heal and awaken.
In my abstract expressive art works I often use impasto layers, acrylic, oil, metal gold or bronze pigments on canvas or paper. Exploring spontaneity of liquid medias makes the process more playful and intuitive at times. There is always sense of passion, engaging movement and contrasting boundaries of light and darkness, sunshine and clouds.. I concentrated on the beauty of life, mother Earth, botanical motives, my own dreams…
My paintings are strongly inspired by Eastern philosophy and can be viewed as an expression of inner meditation, reflection of my own inner world, embracing my own Light and Shadow via balancing tones, flow like brush strokes, perhaps a feeling of harmony and powerful energy at the same time.
I paint my own world, my life… I throw myself out there but there is this longing for a dream-like experience where everything is possible and perfect harmony exists.
